The trail is a gateway to enjoy the small local communities, take time for fun activities like curling, riding the luge or exploring the history of Central Otago or have a guide take you through the Clyde Dam which is the only place in NZ where you can walk through the tunnels, stand by a turbine or in the control room where the staff tell you how the power system works throughout New Zealand.
