Nestled in the heart of Omakau, The Rail Trail Inn is a lovingly restored former country pub, now fully converted into unique and comfortable BnB accommodation. Once a bustling local watering hole, this iconic building has been transformed into a warm and welcoming space that sleeps up to 10 guests — ideal for families, groups, or anyone looking to experience a slice of Central Otago charm.
What was once our family’s holiday home is now open to the public, and we’re proud to share this special piece of history with travellers from near and far. The bones of the old pub remain — large social lounge, original store rooms and stories in every corner — but with fresh touches and thoughtful updates to make your stay cozy and memorable.
