Nestled within the grounds of Historic Hayes, Hannah's Café is a favourite stop for Otago Central Rail Trail riders, travellers and locals alike. Housed in a replica of the cottage where Hannah and Ernest Hayes once raised their family, the café offers a unique blend of history, country charm and genuine Central Otago hospitality.
Enjoy freshly brewed coffee, hearty lunches, homemade baking and our famous cheese scones, while taking in the peaceful garden surroundings. Facilities
Historic Hayes offers wheelchair access to Hannah's Café, the engineering workshop, farm buildings, gardens and toilet facilities. Please note that much of the site is grassed with no formed pathways, which may make navigation difficult for some wheelchairs.
