Welcome to Frida Taco, a colourful little food stop in the heart of Ranfurly, right on the Otago Central Rail Trail.
Frida Taco is all about bold flavours, good food and a little bit of fun. Inspired by Mexico, travel and owner Bianca’s Mauritian heritage, our menu is a playful fusion of flavours and cultures — from Mexican-inspired dishes and tacos to sandoughs, bao, pizzas, loaded nachos, sweet treats and plenty of great coffee.
We’re not your typical café. Frida Taco is a relaxed, vibrant space where you can stop for a coffee and something sweet, refuel after a few kilometres on the Rail Trail, or come back for a casual evening meal.
Our menu changes and evolves with the seasons, with plenty made in-house and options available for different dietary needs.
Cyclists and travellers are very welcome, and we can cater for groups and pre-arranged packed lunches — perfect if you’re heading out on the trail and want to take something delicious with you.
Located at 1 Pery Street, directly opposite the Ranfurly i-SITE, Frida Taco is easy to spot — just look for the pink, red and blue!
