Middlemarch Tours

Otago is rich in history.  It was an area that was settled early as the Gold Rush brought thousands to the area in search of the pot at the end of the rainbow.   Many didn’t find it, but some gold is still in them there hills, as the commercial goldmine at Macraes shows.

But the real gold is the people – warm hearts, hard workers, and people who love the land.  You will meet some of them on our tours and get to know their story as well as enjoy local produce and food.

Choose from our Get to Know Middlemarch tour (3.5 hours, $65) or our Strath Taieri  Explorer full day trips ($150). We can also tailor a bespoke tour for you to Lammamoor Gin Distillery, trout fishing sites or other local areas of interest.
