Because of steep unprotected drops, Alexandra's Riverview B & B is not recommended as suitable for young children.

Many who do the Otago Central Rail Trail recommend that between Clyde and Alexandra, the best experience is not the trail but the 13km 150th Anniversary Walkway skirting the banks of the Clutha. Riverview B & B is ideally situated at the Alexandra end of the walkway.
