The NEW OLIVERS - transformed and re-opened!

Olivers Central Otago is available for accommodation once more - with eleven beautifully redecorated double bedrooms, all with smart new ensuites.

The stunning stone buildings at historic Olivers began as a general store supplying prospectors during the gold mining boom in the 1860s. Built out of local schist stone the buildings include the old stone store, stables, coach sheds, smoke house, barns and a gracious home – Olivers Lodge.

Located in the centre of the historic precinct of Clyde, these Historic Places Trust category 1 listed buildings and gardens are being gracefully refurbished and landscaped by David and Andrea Ritchie to provide guests with boutique hotel accommodation in Central Otago.

Accommodation

The Lodge and Stables at Olivers provide two distinct but equally impressive accommodation options. Choose between schist walls, stone floors and stable doors (The Stables) or grand scale, fine fabrics and elegant interiors (The Lodge).

Breakfast is served in a 115 year old dining room with a baronial length table, where the aroma of newly baked bread and freshly brewed coffee welcomes you. Alternatively, take advantage of Central Otago’s fabulous weather and breakfast alfresco in the large sunny private courtyard for guests.

The Lodge at Olivers

The Lodge at Olivers has recently re-opened and comprises six spacious bedrooms, tastefully decorated to recapture their elegance and timeless charm.

SuperKing and King beds, coupled with attractive fireplaces, stylish furnishings, and newly built en suites with claw-foot baths complete the boutique accommodation picture.

The Stables

Five charming, rustic bedrooms have recently re-opened in the old Stables buildings.

The Smoke and Coach Houses have SuperKing beds and opulent decor. All rooms have their own private en suite bathrooms and open onto the picturesque sun-drenched Olivers courtyard.

These wonderfully comfortable rooms offer the perfect mix of history and luxury in Central Otago.
