Owners Colleen and Peter have tastefully restored this quaint 100 year old cottage in the heart of historic Clyde. Meticulous attention to detail makes Clyde's Plum Tree Cottage 'the place to stay, relax and enjoy' for one or two couples, before or after their Rail Trail experience. With location being everything, it is only minutes to walk to the local cafes, specialty shops, golf course, tennis courts and the village’s Four Square Store.

Restoring the cottage as their holiday home, Colleen and Peter describe the décor as traditional with a touch of contemporary and slightly eclectic, 'The cottage is a perfect place for relaxing in magical Central Otago and we would love visitors coming to the Rail Trail to have the opportunity to experience why Clyde and this cottage appeals to us so much.'

With restoration completed mid 2010, the cottage features a new fully equipped kitchen and a new bathroom and toilet. In one bedroom there is a new king bed and in the other a double brass bedstead. Both beds have electric blankets and fine white linen. The private courtyard, which leads off from the kitchen/dining caters for outdoor dining and entertaining including access to a barbeque. The lounge features an original pot belly stove, heat pump and the home comforts of television, stereo and a small library. The front veranda is a perfect place to relax at the end of a another day in paradise; to enjoy the restful view across the front garden with its mature plum trees and traditional post and rail boundary fence to schist strewn flanks of the Cairnmuir and Old Man Ranges.
